Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To start, have your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Beachfront Bliss: Self Check In has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
