Our top Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. BEAUTIFUL OCEANFRONT VIEWS FROM EVERY ROOM IN THIS CONDO has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
