Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- To get the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautifully Decorated Direct Oceanfront 1 BR 1 BA Condo Atlantica 1003 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
