Our top Rental home booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Gorgeous Condo with Breathtaking Ocean Views and Comfortable Furnishings! - A has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. Otherwise, call the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
