Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Bright & Beachy - Newly Redecorated End Unit-Wrap-Around Balcony-Great Rates!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
