How to get the best rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Lovely updated units-19A WHP-Full Amenity Access has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If not, email the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
