Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental home:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Caravelle Ocean Front Studio couples\/small children has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
