Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Gorgeous Ocean View King Suite w\/ Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
