How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the best vacation home:
- Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Charming 4-bedroom Myrtle Beach Home ~ Ocean View, Wi-Fi, Pool, & More! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
