Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
