Our top Vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Closest St. James Park Villa to Beach and Pool. 3 Full-Bath Master Suites has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
