How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Closest St. James Park Villa to Beach and Pool. 3 Full-Bath Master Suites has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
