Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • To start, have your group choose date ranges and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Coast Comfort Queen Efficiency 12th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
