Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 6th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, AC & WiFi - dog-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
