Finding the best rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- To book the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Coastal Bliss Awaits One Bedroom Condo 14th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
During your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
