How to book the best rental home experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- To get the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your group select vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Coastal Tranquility - King Efficiency 5th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
