Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Darling condo overlooking pool and less than one block to beach! - Dry Dock 101 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
