A Breezy Atlantic Coast Escape
It’s no surprise that families savor visiting Myrtle Beach. Sun, white sand and boardwalk games are hard not to appreciate. Deciding where to stay? That can be a bit trickier. Staying right on the beach gives you amazing vistas but oftentimes a smaller (and sometimes noisier) room. Staying further inland requires some driving back and forth, but gives you more room to spread out as a family.
This unit is not necessarily the one in the picture; it will be assigned at the time of check-in.

Vacation rental tips and tricks:
Get the best value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose and book yourrental home:
- Start by having your family commit to the best dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Enjoy Family & Friends in a 2BD resort condo lots of amenities onsite including lazy river has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
