Vacation rental booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by having your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Direct Oceanfront Sea Mist Resort 20305 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
