Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose yourrental:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Enchanting Luxurious Oceanfront Penthouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
