Rental home tips:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home:

  • Start by having your group choose dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Executive Suite w\/ Great Oceanfront View + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
