Getting the best rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Fantastic location!! Short walk to BEACH, Pools, and WATER PARK! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
