Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Fifth House From The Beach- 2 bdrm-2 bath-Sleeps 8 \"Ocean Breeze 913\" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
