Finding the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by having your family select vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. First floor unit in the heart of Myrtle Beach. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
