Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Freshly Updated Oceanfront Suite @Ocean Park! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
