Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Freshly Updated Oceanfront Suite @Ocean Park! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
