Rental property booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the bestrental:
- First, have your group agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. ??New floor \/kitchen\/ stove, Gorgeous Condo, Ocean Front Master Bed, 2Balconies has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
