How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- To find the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. #H Beautiful condo minutes from the beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
