How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book your prefectvacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront 3bed 3bath condo! 19th floor. Amazing views indoor & outdoor pools has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
