Rental booking tips and tricks:

When to go & When to book:

  • To book the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort 1906- Oceanfront 3bed 3bath, large balcony has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
