Booking the best vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. *FLEXIBLE Cancellation* Beautiful 1st Floor Oceanview Myrtle Beach Condominium has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
