How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Great 2 Bedroom Condo with Ocean View + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
