Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Royale Palms Luxury King Studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
