Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Dream for our Beach Lovers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
