How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the bestvacation home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. HOME, CLOSE TO ALL POPULAR ATTRACTIONS. 5-MINUTE DRIVING DISTANCE TO BEACHFRONT has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
