Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Breathtaking Oceanfront Condo Views w Pool
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
