Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the largest rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Large Family Friendly Condo- Beautiful Views of the Pool, Courtyard and Ocean has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
