Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- To get the best value, consider shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. INCREDIBLE VIEW FROM FLOOR TO CEILING WINDOWS! Relax and unwind. Corner Unit! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
