Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental within budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- First, have your group agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 2025 DATES AVAILABLE WI\/FI, LINENS, TOWELS, GOLF CART has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
