Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Luxurious Ocean view Queen Suite - With New LED Fireplace! Palace Resort Unit 2210 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Additional considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
