Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfectvacation home:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Luxurious Ocean view Queen Suite - With New LED Fireplace! Palace Resort Unit 2210 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
