Strategies to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. MBV 6Br\/5Ba - 304B has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
