The Vagabond is located in the private residential neighborhood of Long Bay Estates which is far from the busy hotel beaches but a fast drive to everything you need. Since there is no public parking or access to its beachfront and no through traffic, you'll find a relaxing uncrowded hideaway from Myrtle Beach's hubbub of activity.
The home has 2300 sq ft of upstairs cavernous living areas for combined family visitors. Wood oak and pine floors throughout the home help those with allergies. A well-equipped kitchen with a cabinet of spices and a garden of herbs is trendy with the cooks. From the breakfast room and back porch, watch eagles catch fish and swans swimming on the lake or paddle it in our canoe and get up close with the turtles and ducks.
Appreciate the 60-foot long front porch with rockers, a picnic table, and a double swing. There are kiddie gates at the stairs on both porches. When the kids tire of the playground under the home they have only a 200-yard hop and skip to the beach. From there a ten-min. walk lands you at the Myrtle Beach State Park with its playgrounds, nature center, trails, fishing, and coffee and ice cream at the pier gift shop! Also, appreciate riding our bicycles around the neighborhood or along the paved paths of Market Common.
The living area is upstairs above the huge garage and screened-in porch. No elevator. For your added health and safety in December of 2020, we added an electronic air purification air scrubber that uses hydrogen peroxide in our HVAC system.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:
- Start by having your family commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Private Neighborhood next to State Park with Secluded Beach ???? Booking 2024! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
