Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Coastal Escape: 2BR King Suite @ Wyndham Seawatch has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
