Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Mid term rental for travel professionals or snowbirds. Pet-friendly! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your family.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
