Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort 3rd floor studio has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
