Our top Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. A316 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Delightful Condo with Bunk Beds for the Kids has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
