Our top Rental property booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. A448 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beautiful Condo with a Walk-in Shower has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
