Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by having your family select dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. A448 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beautiful Condo with a Walk-in Shower has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.

- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Advice for your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
