Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. FAMILY FAVORITE!! NEW! Booking for Summer 2025 NOW! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
