Strategies to get the very best vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. T1601 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Awesome Ocean Front Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
