Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. NEW! Coastal Cottage. Live, Work, & Play like you're on VACATION everyday. has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
