Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
