Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking yourvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Direct oceanfront studio a high floor with pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
