Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
How to pick the perfect rental home:
- To start, have your family decide on dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. NEW home *Centrally Located * Beach 2 miles *comfortable *2 miles boardwalk Blue has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
